D. Clancy & Sons was founded in 1975 by Donald and Sharon Clancy. As a young family raising three children in South Boston, they pooled their savings and bought the company's first vehicle — a green 1968 Chevy Stepside pickup. Donald scheduled and ran the jobs; Sharon painted the boards and kept the paperwork in order.
The work grew from window washing and glass into securing vacant buildings, then into asbestos removal, and finally into the demolition, debris removal, and hauling we're known for today. More than 50 years later, we're still a family operation — now spanning multiple generations of the Clancy family.
Shawn Clancy co-owns D. Clancy & Sons, continuing the family business his grandfather started in 1975. Shawn grew up on Boston job sites working alongside his father, and today helps lead the company's interior demolition and debris-removal crews across Boston and the South Shore.
